I know it shouldn't work this way: but my shiny new exhibits an order of magnitude less latency over DisplayPort than Thunderbolt from my laptop.

I'm told there is a BIOS update for the laptop, but it just works so I'm gonna leave it. No such quirk from the .

Contrary to the opinion of random people on the Internet, displays work perfectly well over mini-DisplayPort (1.4).
