"Vive Le Macaron" teableau for 03/16/25
Un petit plaisir par un dimanche pluvieux.
There’s a worldwide Panda Day and it’s today!
I made a panda quilt once, back it 2016. If I’d known about the holiday earlier, I could have been posting this once a year for 9 years
My brain wanted a new toiletry bag last night. I didn't anticipate that this "easy" pattern would take me HOURS to complete. But after almost 5 hours here she is.

Have started some of the practice pieces in the mini quilt book. #quilting #HandSewing #MiniQuilt it’s definitely worth making practice pieces because the patterns change so much in tiny spaces. #miniatures
Mary’s back on the design wall! There was a bobble with her background fabric but I’m happy to working on this one again
This was originally going to be 16 on-point blocks, but I resolved to make smaller quilts this year, so I’m going with 9 instead
Next up - setting squares with ammonite centers
Wishing a happy Worldwide Quilting Day to all Fediquilters and friends!
I use today to look back at what I've created over the last year and look forward to what I want to make in the next 12 months
Since the last WWQD, I've finished 15 quilts! I wrote about them here -https://inarticulatequilter.wordpress.com/2025/03/15/12th-annual-quilt-bucket-list-12-angry-quilts/
There's a cameo by Frank Costanza, a lot of anger, a lot of joy - and a lot I still want to do!
"Sound" teableau for 13Mar25
A nod to some of the things on or in Puget Sound: Lighthouses. Giant Pacific Octopus. Sailboat. People who paint Giant Pacific Octopuses on spoons.
Granddaughter brought her 4-H sewing projects for me to see. Her first attempt at quilting was a hot pad/pot holder. She did better than I could. Nice sharp corners, seams lined up neatly.
She and the others will be submitting pieces to the state fair this summer. So exciting!
Fellow quilters and peeps with an opinion:
Which border fabric would you use?
Note: The desired width is pretty accurate to the fabric layout. #quilting

Words done for #InarticulateTaco. Well, done-ish. Still needs an apostrophe
Borders are about all that’s left so this quilt should finish up early next week, if I’m lucky
My local fiber store.
It’s been a tough week and I’m feeling the need for some mindless piecing this weekend. I usually turn to a Buggy Barn pattern in these situations - this one is Bloomers, which felt kind of sunflower-ish to so I chose a color scheme

And she’s done.
One Block Wonder hexies. 3.75inch cut.
Approx 240x220 (I should have measured it when it was on the wall).
QAYG in 5 strips.
I just realized that all the tacos I pieced are backwards from the pattern! Because the design I based my blocks on was the FPP print out, which is always reversed
Ultimately, it won’t matter. But I’m laughing at myself for not figuring that out earlier
